EXTENSIONS FAQ
-
What do extensions cost?
Pricing for all extensions varies based on the amount of hair needed to carry out the service, this is based on your desired length and volume. Please note that your natural hair length and density will be a factor when priced for extensions as this affects the amount of hair needed to complete your desired look. We will go over all aspects of Extensions from the color match, the timeline and the process + aftercare during our consultation and at that point I will be able to more accurately give you the cost of your investment.

What type of extensions are right for me?
This can vary from person to person, it all depends on your desired goal, your current hair, desired maintenance schedule + what you’re able or wanting to spend on this investment. There are many times when a “Hybrid-method installation“ is utilized this means I use multiple methods to achieve your desired look. For example, if you are wanting to have Wefts/Beaded Row extensions sometimes they can’t always safely reach those pesky front areas where we often have breakage or just shorter pieced in general. Adding in Tape Extensions or Keratin Bonds can be an excellent way to fill those areas . All of this will be covered in your initial Consultation with me, as well as what the cost for a “hybrid-method install” will cost.

How long does the hair last?
This depends on a few factors, most manufacturers will say the hair should last 6-12 months as a general rule. The main factors that would effect the hair from not lasting is not utilizing the proper aftercare products given to, you in your home care kit I provide to you and not following the after-care guidelines on the card I will give you after your extension install, lastly there are environmental factors that can cause damage to you extensions, shower filters, Malibu treatments and Clarifying shampoos + Nourishing masks are all great tools to help combat that.
-
What lengths do they come in?
This varies on method Used but typically yo will fine extensions in lengths 14’-24” you an get custom 26” + 28” if desired but kep in minds customized lengths may take longer to come in.
-
Can I swim with extensions?
Yes, you can swim with your extensions but you have to dampen them with water and/or put a small amount of leave-in conditioner/conditioner on them before swimming. It is recommended that they are in a braid and a hat is worn (if applicable). When using sunscreen be sure you only mineral sunscreen because, there is an ingredient in all other sunscreens called Abozazene in regular sunscreens that will turn extensions pink, and it is near impossible to get out. It is recommended that you bring a brush with you and brush before you braid your hair and after the pool or ocean as well as having an oil handy so that way if it is windy you are not struggling to detangle your hair or extension hair when brushing before you wash your hair after swimming activities.

How do I wash my hair and what products should I use?
